I’m still scratching my head on this one. I think Linde’s ostensible intention was good, but very poorly executed. And from the smiles on the attendees’ faces, it doesn’t appear that the audience learned much from Linde’s “art.” I don’t have a problem with controversial art, but if you’re using it to make a point, your message should be crystal clear. By inserting himself into the piece and crying out as the cake was cut, Linde re-enforced rather than smashed stereotypes.
